This young creature is in labor. By "labor", we do not mean she is joining the workforce or unionizing, but rather she is in the process of having a baby! The doctor will see to her all laboring needs, which is a comfort to her at this time.
The labor is now in the active stage... time for the doctor to get busy! Not to worry, he is a professional.
