Saturday~March 8~ 2008

These two cakes have spent their entire adult life in this display case watching the shoppers go by and waiting for someone to pick them out and take them into the big wide world.

Sometimes we just have to take matters into our own hands.

Their case mates are shocked and appalled by their recklessness. They have seen cakes come and go and understand that cake is frivolous by nature.

Frivolous or not, these two are now on the loose and they intend to see as much as they can before they get caught. They scoot around the store eagerly, their little cake senses alert to the hustle and bustle of the world around them, their little cake eyes wide to the wondrous sights they see.

The time must come for all great adventures to end. The cakes are feeling fatigue and hitch a ride back to the comfort of the display case.

They face the consternation of their case mates when they return, but win over their respect by regaling them with tales of the fantastic places they have been. As they huddle around listening, all the foodstuffs begin to imagine life outside the case, and they each privately plot adventures of their own.
